| Here is roughly the center of Nørreby (North Town) one of two villages on the island of Femø. Sonderby (South Town) was equally charming. Many old Danish villages maintain a duck pond in the center of town. I'm sure there was a purpose to these ponds back in the day, but today they are commonly populated by well fed ducks. Local nurseries and daycare providers often are seen with flocks of children feeding the ducks. Here though in Nørreby, I didn't see any ducks, possibly sign of the lack of children in town. |
