Late evening view of Melbourne Central Business District (CBD) across Yarra river. The long orange building on the river bank is Flinders Street Station.
Taken at 20:37, soon after sunset.
Camera settings: 22 mm zoom, ISO-200, remote release, mirror lockup, exposure bracketing. 3 separate images with 8 seconds, 4 seconds and 15 seconds exposures were combined to increase dynamic range. Each of them converted from Raw with color temperature set to 3600K.

Nice work Linas! You've taken this night shot at the perfect time IMO. I really like the colour contrast between the natural blue lighting, and the warm artificial light. The reflections balance and complement the buildings themselves too.

I can't quite decide whether I might be tempted to trim a little off the left hand side or not; I don't feel the short office building adds to the scene, but it is nice to have the final tower on the (if I remember rightly) station building.

One thing I would have a look for in the darkest RAW file is the detail on the clockface of the ?station, currently it's white, but I think you might be able to pull it back from the 4s exposure.

Overall, I like it! It's a very nice piece of work :D

Very sharp, wonderful colours/light and really well composed. Generally strong shot. Nice work, PHIL

Hi Linas
An impressive photo of Melbourne. Creating the wish to visit this lovely continent and the specific town. Considering your dynamic increase, the result is a bit weak, as you still have overexposed parts. Looking at the preselected times (4, 8 and 15 seconds) I can say two things:
1) The interval is correct
2) the darkest photo is too bright (here you should have worked with at least 1 second or even lower), that is why the result is not satisfying me.
Otherwise as I told you an excellent photo.
Cheers, Leonidas

What a stunning work, Linas! Clear and sharp image! The light management is perfect as well as the tonal gradation of the colors.
Congratulations!
Warm regards,
Athanasios.

Hi Linas
Appart from the fact there are a few ultra bright spots and a slightly unusual format it's a very pleasing photo of my city. I especially like the colours of the buildings and the grass and the reflection on the Yarra which looks almost icy.

Nikki

I'm unfamiliar with this city but it is a superb evening cityscape! Color, detail, and composition are all excellent.

Wow, this is a great photo for colour and composition. A few bright spots? Yes, but they do not distract me from the overall beauty of the scene.
