Bruges in 3 hours - No.3
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
We had a long weekend in Reims (some posts to follow)and on the way back we stopped off at Bruges, we had three hours before we had to leave to catch the ferry home, hence the title.
Obviously we only had chance to glimpse some of the sights.
This shot is the third in the series.
Many tourists take a horse drawn carriage as a leisurely way of sight seeing.
There is a leather "pooper scooper" bag attached underneath the horse's tail that keeps the city clean.
From Wikipedia.
Bruges (Dutch: Brugge, stemming from Bryggja, which assumedly used to signify "landing stage" or "port") is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located in the northwest of the country.
The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is egg-shaped and about 430 hectares in size. The area of the whole city amounts to more than 13,840 hectares, including 193.7 hectares off the coast, at Zeebrugge ("Seabruges" in literal translation). The city's total population is more than 117,000, of which around 20,000 live in the historic centre. |

Bonjour,
Ambiance typique de cette ville que j'ai visitée récemment.
Bonne journée.

Stephen,
This is a well composed shot! The horse and carriage are well placed giving the photo a nice sense of motion and direction. The colors are fine as is the sharpness and detail. The sky does seem to be a bit overexposed. This could be helped with the use of a polarizing filter.
Still this is a fine shot.
TFS,
Asa
