"I Luvin' It," George. :) (Hate that jingle actually.) Karlee is feeding the masses. Feeding them junk. She's a tool of the messed up system that turns one of our most basic needs into a cash register for greedy SOB's who don't care about the health of people or the health of the planet, but just about the health of their balance sheet. Well, balance sh*t. That's the bottom line.
The top line is the beautiful Karlee with a sad half smile and light in her eyes and more dignity than a boardroom full of billionaires. A billion boardrooms full. She's the top line and you got her glowing. A portrait of hope somehow in the grim out-of-whack working world.

Jest to piękne. A nawet wzruszające. Miło popatrzeć na kogoś kto pracuje. To zawsze polepsza samopoczucie. A jak jeszcze pieniążki do domu przynosi, to takie duszoszczypatielnoje się robi...
To spojrzenie rozkłada nawet mnie, starego cynika...
Pozdrawiam.
You definately get a bigger smile at Wendy's! I don't know if you have the term "McJob", which made it into the Oxford English dictionary as "An unstimulating, low-paid job with few prospects, esp. one created by the expansion of the service sector." All credit to Karlee - she's a "working girl" in the nicest sense, others may not be quite so lucky.
Thanks for sharing these thought provoking shots with us.
Best regards, Roberto
what expression to you George... she had a sad smile... but a lot comprehension in eyes.... superb BW like usual..i think she is alone in her life.. have a good day

and what did your mc-burger cost you, george? :) the other week, on my way to NYC, my chicken mc-burger meal had shot up from about 6.5 usd to 9.5 usd... that's a 50% jump in what many consider a staple... and they say 'inflation is under control' here. ;)) well that's not the point here. karlee has a wonderful smile and piercing, direct gaze. there's something enthralling about this pic. what? i cannot put my finger on it right now. surely a nice addition to your working man's series.
warm regards,
kristaps

Couldn't care less about McD, but this sure is a great picture. I like her "we're in this together" kind of look. Follow the money...

Hello George,
Some pictures do not signatures, they are simply obvious. Who else can get these expressions and use the BW so well ?
Happy week-end - Izzet
Hi J!
She's bored and tired.
Next time get her photo when she is happy to go home.
But this work time view is also part of the life.
Great shot, my friend.
Greetings,
F

no need for a note indeed, the pic tells its own story... or her eyes and the curves on her lips tell it rather... polonaise at work again... cheers...

It's impossible not to be touched !
A very "true" photo. Not only her face (not only the telling eyes !) but her body speaks with the head tilted.
In all that, is it my imagination ? I think I see parts of the history of her ancesters. There is something very deep...
A great portrait, you've made all the young Karlees famous for an instant...
Will this one know about it ?
Cath.

Karlee, big staring eyes, lovely lips with a friendly touch. You always know how to put these people look very interesting in to your camera. That is were your strongest point is while others only can watch and keep on thinking "how does he do that?"
A great one PAL...a real BEAUTY..!!!
Have a great weekend, Henk

Przegladam twoje fotografie i czesto natrafiam w nich na ladne i ciekawie usmiechajace sie twarze , nie zawsze tak szczere jak ta (bez sztucznego usmiechu), ktora tu prezentujesz , swietny strzal.
Pozdrawiam

Oh, George, this one is a winner. It's the way she stares right into your eyes, as if to say, I know this is a f**king dead end job, but here, take your drink. And there is that drink, right in our faces, so close it's out of focus, ready to be plucked from her hand.
Did you ask her before taking this shot, or just suddenly pop it up and shoot?
Have a great Saturday, regards, Ken.

Love the softness in her eyes. She seems strong, she seems really able. And that softness in her eyes. These eyes that seem to see through our very soul...
I hope she will see this photo. Because, if I was her, I would be very touched to see me that beautiful...

Niesamowite...
Ten dzieciak...naprawde pracuje ?
Dobre, Jurek.
Buzka duza. Grazyna.
