Hi Larry
Beautiful light which enhances the tones in the grasses. the F3.5 is probably not doing this scene full justice. Try F11 but for that you may need a tripod.
Cheers
Phil

Hi Larry,
Good idea to wake up early so you can benefit from the best light, its effect on the ground is very pleasant especially due to this repeated pattern. You might want to crop the upper part to focus the view even more on that, the upper waterside diagonal should end on the top right corner.
Have a nice day jY
Larry,
Never under estimate the mud. My dear lady and I spent a long time photographing mud like this in a Colorado river at Great Sand Dunes. We couldn't get enough of it. In fact we've got more photos of the mud than the Dunes - but we're funny that way!
Maybe this one could do with a little more sharp detail - I don't know if that's the processing (for the web) or the original frame - but this sort of shot really benefits from high detail.
Nevertheless, great play of light through the grasses - and on the mud. Appreciated.
Regards
Colin
