At a booksigning. A famous author. There he is in the background. That's his book in the foreground. Can you guess who it is? (Hint: the book is in translation.)

The answer . . . next time.

Hi Hugh,
Eye catching photo, great composition, and the depth of field chosen is perfect for the image as only the one page is in clear focus. As for who the author is: not a clue!
Love it!
Regards
Lee

Really well composed shot Hugh. Perfect choice of DOF and I especially like the array of muted colours in the BG.

Beautifully done, Roberto

Hello Hugh,
"How can a person change" I can read the page :) excellent sharpness. The DOF is very sucessful. Well taken. I like this tribute to the books.
Best regards,
Fabrice

Beutifull composition!

Your photo, Hugh ...?
something very extraordinary...
An essence in informative photography with that incredibe spicy hint of an art...
beautifully built... Beutifully composed into one total apackage.
A great bokeh...
A great FD...
I even find that gentle spark of light on her (I hope it's her!) fingernail - a delightful addition to this charmer...
I must say - it's rather unusual thing in your collection, since you go rather for the more sponteneous shots...
Your finishing on this one...?
A flawless final presentation !

Good. I like it like that..

Umberto Eco, The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana? I started it but haven't picked it back up in months. I'll try and get back into it again though, because it was a good book.

Love the depth of field here. The author barely made out in the background. Where was this Hugh?

Brian

Hola Hugh!
Miguel

who is the writer.
its a riddle.

Like the sharpness in the shot and the bokeh is fantastic.
