Stepping is hard
slow, inside the oblivion of emptiness
like there is no sound,
neither air, in this strange place.
Lost in the deeps of an encircle dream
without stars and moon,
you see an endless road,
in a route that you forgot at the beginning.
One dead love fades away in the dark
and a soul that lived so little,
spins like a soundless note in the air...
Although, the elder man with the white bear
can dream while he sculpts the stone,
so that he can put red hearts on the statues.
Beside him, he always has the map of melancholy
full with, fairies, pixies and elfs,
forever lasting escort of his sleeping beauty...

A poem by Happysad (for Giannoulis Halepas)

Ciao Thomas.
Bel lavoro.
Renzo

Hello Thomas,
Another fantastic note to go along with this beautiful photo.
I like how you placed the statue on the side with full details and then leaved space for this soft bokeh which looks like a dream, maybe the dream you spoke in the note.
Cheers.

Hi Thomas,

The artist blows his life in his works... and even a stone smiles when the touch feels...
Beautifull image and a dear note.
Excellent composition the reveals the soul of concept.

Another intriguing B&W work, Thomas. I like the composition which works well with the shallow depth of field. My only gripe is that the lens does not seem to produce pleasing out-of-focus highlight, esp. double halos. Nice work on your part. Regards,
Hakan

Hi Thomas.

Ahhhh...excellent close up and compo as usual. The note is great too. As you always do.

Hi Thomas,
Once again you managed to capture a fantastic and impressive mood in a photo, also again with an excellent choice for B&W. The sculpture is very well added in the foreground and also well placed on the left hand side. Thanks for sharing, it's beautiful!

Hi Thomas!!
I looooove this photo! The B&W works wonderful here.
The blurred background works REALLY well.
Great composition - well done!

The combination of the bokeh and the B&W conversion gave this picture a beautiful and relaxing feeling. I like the well managed composition and the only minor thing you left in the frame is that tower just in the center. Otherwise, it is a real pleasure and worth many smiles.

and this is an example of when and how to use shallow dof - you managed to uncover the beauty of the sculpture really well sinking the details of the background in an elegant blur...

Hi Thomas, Wel made this bokeh for a good choice with B&W, perfect bokeh, interesting result.

Hello Thomas,
I like this B&W composition.
The statue is very well placed on the composition and the blurred background enhances even more it's details.
Perfect contrast.
Regards
Teresa

this one has the potential to be the cover photo of another book i think thoma... very poetic as always...

Hi Thomas. Beautifully composed with a nice accompanying note. Emptiness, I feel, does provide lot of accommodation to those who seek solace. The vacuum in space sucks in the air -- so is the emptiness of heart who beckons those seeking an abode of peace. Well done. Regards.
Partha

Kalimera Thomas,
that portrait of a statue with a surrounding which can not really be recognized is very much from the inner space. Black&white is the only choice here I think. A good expression for that title.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Hi Thomas
A very beautiful black and white composition. Great POV and excellent focus. I also like the poem and how you framed it on left.
Have a nice week
Aires

It's difficult to photograph statues in an interesting way...here you did it very beautifully. The shallow DOF, the profile, the road behind leading to the unknown and the subtle light make for a catching view Thomas. I love the dominance of the white here and your note. I may have cloned the pole:-).

Kind regards dear friend
Take care...soon the summer:-)

Kalispera Thomas,
the image takes directly to a world of dreams, thanks to the B&N and the defocusing leads to one special, sad atmosphere and something dramatic.
Excellent artistic creation and very adapted the poem!

αποθανάτησες μια πολύ ωραία σκηνή και μάλιστα στα Μετέωρα με την ωραία του αγάλματος,αν και με μελαγχολικό βλέμμα να προσφέρει νερό.σοφή η ιδέα σου να φλουτάρεις το φόντο με αποτέλεσμα να αναδείξεις τις λεπτομέρειες του αγάλματος. Οι στίχοι επίκαιροι και άξιοι να αφιερωθούν στον Γιαννούλη Χαλεπά. Να υποθέσω ότι το άγαλμα είναι δικής του κατασκευής;

Quite a beautiful shoot, I really like it. We can imagine a movement of this sculpture. Well done.

Bonjour Thomas,
Best regards.

I think, this is the most eccentric Meteora photo that i've ever seen. Mostly, monastries on the mountains are presented, but you are here again with your poetic look into the minute details.
The softness is breathtaking going perfectly with the title and poem.

amazing photo. This is a style I really love. Ordinary things, common situation, bur the result is a masterpiece. I like the soft light and its simple character. The more it charms.

Hi Thomas, The shallow DOF falling on the statue really works well, it highlights some great detail, a nice B/W image, very well composed, great positioning of the main subject, TFS, kind regards Wilson.
