Photographer’s Note
Details of the Samokov gate (Samokovska porta) of the Rila monastery. Its name comes from the town Samokov in whose direction the exit goes. This is not the major gate (the major one is the Dupnitsa gate), it led to the farm complex of the monastery. This is the reason why the paintings are more simple, in cooler tones.
I posted as a workshop a detail of the paintings under the arch.
