Photographer’s Note
One of the last load of people to Orchha for the day. Tractor-trolley is popular means of transportation in the villages of northern parts of India. Tractors are multi-utility vehicles for the villagers, which are used for farm use as well as a way to transport people. Infact, on the day i was here there was a marriage in the town, and i noted that many in the grooms party had come in tractor-trolleys from nearby villages.
This photograph of the bridge over the Betwa river, on the Orchha - Tikamgarh road, is taken from the river bed at sunset. The rising moon and its reflection on water can also be seen. One can also note a person on the tractor is paying his reverence to the moon.
Orchha is a small town in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. Orchha lies on the Betwa River, in the Bundelkhand region of northern Madhya Pradesh about 17km from Jhansi.
