Photographer’s Note

Looked out on Monday morning and was dazzled by the brilliant green light reflected off the primitive life returning to the mud left by the activities (creating a hard standing and laying a new slipway) of last autumn.
Workshop shows what it was like 8 months ago. I suppose this green stuff is the forerunner of seaweed like the small amount that did not get destroyed, visible on the left. The sea was like glass.

Two earlier shots of the same place in WS, one taken 28/08/2007 07:22:12, the other 18/09/2007 14:33:52 (is there any way to edit the data given there?).

Cropped, slightly darkened, contrast increased very slightly, narrow border added.

Added 3 July: As Auldal says, this green stuff may be a sign of sewage leakage, though most of us around here believed that pipe was just carrying surface water.
The news today from China shows a massive deposit of green algae on the site where the Olympic yacht racing is to be held soon. It looks exactly like this stuff, and hundreds of young men are lifting it by hand to carry away bag by bag. Good luck to them.
