Den halder castle in the Dutch city of Valkenburg. It is a small 17th century palace that was created by enlarging and adding to an old medieval tower, which was part of the old city wall around the town centre.
On one side, the gardens have been turned into a nice public park, which offers views of the famous ruined castle of Valkenburg. The other side stands on the banks of the river Geul. |
