I found this couple strolling in the main pedestrian mall in Shanghai on a Saturday morning. I've seen people out and about in Europe with a variety of well groomed and unusual pets but this one really caught my attention as it was a pure white rabbit in a bright red coat lovingly held by its proud owner, equally well dressed.
There is a real sense of affluence and the influence of western culture is strong in some groups in Shanghai, as in Beijing society, which contrasts with the more traditional way of life for the many who live in the crowded alleyways of the big cities of China.
