Photographer’s Note

This is the monastery of Agios Arsenios (Άγιος Αρσένιος) in Vatopedi (Βατοπέδι). Vatopedi is located in Sithonia, the second leg of the Halkidiki peninsula. Τhe village is located at a 30 km distance from Poligiros and a 90 km distance from Thessaloniki. The monastery is situated on a small hill overlooking the surrounding area. Hi Natasha,

very interesting frontal capture of this monastery. It really doesn't look one! I like the luminosity since you shot this in the shade and we still see all the details. There is an interesting symetry too. Great job!

ein wunderschönes, besinnliches Foto. Das offene Tor lädt zur Einkehr und Stille ein. Du hast den Moment gekonnt eingefangen.
Die Kirche kommt in ihrer Gesamtheit sehr gut zur Geltung.
