Photographer’s Note

A bit too static maybe... I have mixed feelings about this photo - I had been shooting more exciting things in the same narrow alley where the sunrays were magic, but have problems with the PP, I have yet to learn more ; so instead, here is a nearby shopkeeper who agreed to be taken in photo, but he prefered to continue with his morning paper, maybe a bit shy...

Sharpness is OK, but I find this not enough lifely. The burnt areas on the paper don't disturb me too much, but the tones don't satisfy me entirely. Anyway, this is to change a bit from my usual style ; soon, an elderly man at work, much more dynamic but the photo is less sharp and a bit noisy ; more interesting too, IMHO -
What do you think of this one ?

şu senin ufak makina gerçekten süper.çok net ve berrak bir fotograf veriyor.burada örneğini görüyorum.çok güzel bir kompozisyon olmuş.adamın gazete okurken duruşunu nefis yansıtmışsın eline sağlık.

Moi j'aime bien ce cliché tout simple et paisible. La douceur des couleurs est très bonne et les détails dans le magasin sont bien exposés.

Et bien, je pense que oui, ta composition est statique.
Mais tandis que ce brave monsieur lit paisiblement son journal et profite du calme du petit matin, cela nous permet d'en profiter pour apprécier les nombreux détails que tu nous présentes ici.
J'aime bien ce tout petit rayon de soleil, qui nous laisse imaginer le temps superbe qu'il faisait ce jour-là.

C'est beau Catherine. Il y a de tout qui attire l'attantion: une atmosphere, la composition, nombreux details. Tu m'inspires positivement de toucher le meme sujet, que je rencontre souvent autour de moi. Ici, j'aime specialement la lumiere dans la piece deriere, suffisante d'eclairer presque tout. Le moustachu est sympathique aussi. Merci d'avoir provoque mes compliments.

Superb shadow detail, in this striking daily life scene from Turkey. Most people immediately look at the man's face first, & may not even notice the slight oe, in the newspaper. Good job. Bon travail. Ayez un weekend fantastique!

Hello Catherine,
That little Ixus of yours did it again. What a detail in the background while the man in front is also superb exposed. Brightness and clarity from that little compact devil is excellent here.
Whatever your thoughts are, i like it, especially in the tones. And yes it's static, but why not? Does every picture needs action in it, why not a moment of peace and doing just a daily thing....reading a newspaper for example.
Nothing wrong with it ;-)

I think we all start to get too self critical after so long on TE, possibly anticipating the comments. I find absolutely nothing wrong with this. A "daily life" photo is exactly that. This man is enjoying a moment of solitude while he waits for customers. There are lots of details to see around him too. Good work

C'est un moment tout simple de la vie quotidienne, la lecture du journal! Couleurs lumière et nettete sont satisfaisants.
J'aurais peut être croppé un peu du haut, sans doute juste en dessous du néon... C'est bizarre d'ailleurs ces trucs qui pendent, on dirait des chaines ;D

belle photo de cette devanture de comerce ou cet homme attend le client en lisant les dernières nouvelles dans la gazette.
Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté.
Bonne lumièrezs douces a l' arrière qui montre avec douceur et discrétion les marchandises de l' arrière boutique.
