Photographer’s Note

This time of the year is the time of the Εastern Οrthodox Pasqua....is the biggest for our religion...inside this exist the greatest meaning of the Christians....the resurrection.... the resurrection of the human soul... the hope of his existence on earth......!!! In every part of the Hellenic word many customs exist to rememorizes the Fact... differed in Crete... differed in Peloponnese, other in Thessaly or in Thrace other in Macedonia....in every part of the Greece you can see many differed fact happens..!!!! Here in Leonidion in Arcadia territory make one fact that belongs to many centuries before….. τhey take wire they take pieces of wood....they take paper colored in any imagine wanted to have....and they make big strange boxes...in one part of the box is open...and there they put one piece of buckram with petroleum they put fire.... and the warmed air push the construction on the air...make light inside and when is going to the sky the color of the papers looking marvelous ...in the night when the dark is every were only this pieces of harmony and beauty slide on the air ...giving hope to the people...the Light going to the sky...the souls going to the Haven... is the Resurrection who just happens...!!!
For my all ,any kind of religion fellows...my best wishes..!!!

Γεια σου Ν/Φ
Μια εικόνα από ένα έθιμο που έχει σαν θέμα την Ανάσταση με τα αερόστατα και το ανέβασμά τους στον ουρανό μεταδίδοντας το φώς. Μια αποτύπωση λαογραφίας, που ακουστά είχα αλλά δεν έτυχε ποτέ να δώ, αυτό που γίνετε στο Λεωνίδειο και ίσως έχει ρίζες παλαιότερες. Ωραία που μας το φανέρωσες.

what a nice note and what a nice colours, great and smart point of view and great work, although the low light conditions you had a perfect picture and gave us a fantastic view with these awsome colors of this great festivity in Greece. Bravo.
