[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at the Empress Mentewab School, which resides in the Tara Center in Gonder, Ethiopia.

Not the best photo, not by far, but one of my favorites from the day. Could be sharper, exposed differently, etc, etc...but hey, it was dark, the kids were moving all around, you know, I have all kinds of excuses.

If you're looking for a good charity or want to help, please contact Kate Fereday Eshete. These kids can use anything you could spare.

Thanks
John

That clicking noise is distracting me, sir! Can you please stop doing that? As you say, it is not a perfect shot but it is well inside the TE spirit. Well done.
Antonio

Hello John,

"Not the best photo?" I think it is superb. The only improvement I would suggest is to crop it into a "carper frame, place the child on the right about 1/3 from the right. I'll do a ws as a suggestions. Warm regards,

Bulent

Hello John. Schools are a special topic. Your photo gives a good idea of a classroom. The pupils seem somehow to be tired. Worth seeing. Best regards, Wolfgang.

hello John,
she's ready for her close-ups :) I don't see any problems with the photo, especially considering how difficult the light must've been. content-wise it is superb, as Bulent says, and I like a lot the low point of view you have chosen to bring the viewer at the kid's eye level.

with best regards,
Kristine

Hey John,

Visual impression is superb. The 'well organised' arrangement of elements are fantastic with the teacher, table and class room set-up is captured very well.

"Distractions" is a perfect title. The thing is I was led looking around the frame, what goes around it like one boy captured looking at you, the teacher patiently teaches as he looks at a girl with many of her classmate's 'eye line' roaming around the classroom all in the state of distraction.

The best part is the timing you had when the girl swiveled her back around and capturing her curious face looking back at you!

One of your best images with artistic value ;)

Always,

Jom
