hallo frank, was für ein angenehmer ausblick! :-) da kann man bestimmt klasse wandern. sieht schön aus, und ruhig, ich war
schon lange nicht mehr in einem richtigen wald. doch wo bleibt der frühling, das frische grün ist noch nicht da - dafür ein
specht? ab und zu bin ich hier in köln im forst-botanischen garten, da hört man ihn auch öfters..toc toc toc.

Hallo Frank,
einen schönen Ausblick zeigst du uns hier, das Workshop-Foto finde ich persönlich noch einen Tick besser; in wenigen Wochen wird die Durchsicht etwas schwieriger sein, wenn das hier noch vermisste Laub vorhanden ist.

A fine composition of this woodland, showing the first signs of spring. The light and colours are excellent. Very pleasing tonal contrasts and superb clarity. A beautiful scene to contemplate on a wet and windy day in Charente-Maritime.

Here you convey the impression of an outdoor cathedral, with high pillars rising towards the sky! A really peaceful atmosphere in this capture.

Noch kann man durch den Wald hindurchschauen bevor im Frühling der Blätterwald beginnt. ich mag die Schattennspiele der Bäume auf dem laub, sehr schöne Aufnahme.

Frank, il me semble l'entendre ce pivert dans ces bois qui sortent à peine de l'engourdissement de l'hiver. Les colonnes naturelles des troncs d'arbre sont encore bien visibles.

The light coming in from the left is wonderful to provide contrast on all the tree trunks. The two downward slopes from right to left add some dynamics that works well in the scene and makes it very easy on the eye. If glancing quickly at the WS image it is fairly similar, but this one is so much better because of the reasons I mentioned above. Good work

Bonjour Frank,
Le printemps tarderait-il à venir aussi chez toi ? Cette forêt ressemble à celle voisine de la maison : aucune feuille encore aux branches. Mais ici j'entends les pics et je les photographie !
Les couleurs du sous-bois sont magnifiques, le piqué très bon.
Mes amitiés de Mt St-Grégoire où le beau temps chaud persiste pour mon grand bonheur ;o)

Belle prise de vue de la forêt près de chez toi qui nous donne un bonne idée d'un printemps tardif par chez toi, ici il fait très beau et la chaleurs grimpe de jour en jour mais il y a encore de la neige dans ma cour;)) Mes compliments pour ta photo..

High Frank, you know what? This photo is one of your best (to me, at least, I like such weather and such season most). Amazing amount of details and very good colors.
And speaking about not-so-comfortable and too high-proud look of certain places in St-Petersburg: surely you're right, it was a capital of Empire and goal was to IMPRESS, but not to make something cozy. So somewhere it looks quite impressive, :)

Hello Frank,
And I in March listened the woodpecker in the forest near my house. Lasted this a dozen or so minutes. I wanted to take a picture to him, but I listened with attention into hard-working patter of the small beak ... I worship beechen forests. I was brought up close by such, but in mine grew trees several hundred summer-. Low-cut became similarly as the oak- forest. Even You do not know, how it was to me sadly, when I looked on former paths whose did not surround already powerful trunks of trees... Very nice place, full of the calm and the good light. Beautiful, perpendicular picture well exhibits slender trunks of trees. I would like there now to walk about. Nice for the eye work.
