Here is the "Place du Général de Gaulle" or Main Square of Lille as I like it:

Here the buildings of more than 200 years contemplate patiently the businessmen dodging insane lick-windows walking from right to left and from left to right, from the front to the back and from the back to the front without knowing where they go…

The oldest and young people without conflict of generation and who care about the color? White, blacks, yellows and bi… an open and free city, simply Europe!

The artists having judiciously chosen their place invent a public of tourists. And hold by speaking artists, to put to you a little more in environment do not hesitate to sing "Les copains d'abord" of the Georges Brassens whom the three musicians were playing this song when I catch this pict.

Go, me I go back there: "Non, ce n'était pas le radeau, de la Méduse ce bateau..."
