Photographer’s Note

The ferry "Ghisallo" was approching the pier of Bellagio, in the middle of the Lago di Como.

This ferry of the "Stelvio" series was built in the 1963 and named and launched in the 1964 in the "NLC di Dervio" by the Breda Company in Venezia.
It's long 39.60 meters, wide 6.70 meters and a tonnage of 199.36 tons.
It can transport 13 cars and 185 people, with a crew of 5 members.
It have other 2 twin ships, the "Stlevio" and the "Spluga", both oldest and launched in the 1955 and 1960.
All
the 3 ferries link today all the central part of the Lago di Como.
The service links this villages: Bellagio, Cadenabbia, Varenna e Menaggio.
Ferries worked 365 days in a year and between the surise to midnight.

A 4th twin ship, called "Regina del Garda" and launched in the 1966, works on the Lago di Garda.
