[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Continuing to post pictures from Paris. This one, as everyone may have already guessed, was taken at the Louvre Museum. Actually I had seen and loved a similar picture from another TE member, my friend Bulent Atalay (Batalay) and it may have been an inspiration. I must say that it was not a very easy one, for many reasons, starting from the crowds, the motion of the painter, and most important his position against the two frames. At 600 ISO I could get a 1/30th of a second. By the way I should perhaps add that the original painting is " Women of Algiers in their appartement " by Eugene Delacroix.

Hello Izzet Bey,
You've made a very successful and beautiful work in this crowded museum. Thanks a lot for sharing this artwork with us,
Best regards,
Tulay

A very interesting and good picture.
The "copyist" has a very intense expression. Very contemplating his work, and checking the details.
Very good.
Stefano

Hello Izzet,

Interesting picture. A painter painting from a painting. Excellent indoor light management and perspective of this moment. The image is sharp and the colours seem properly saturated. I once heard that a photographer has so much to learn from a painter. Painters do know how to capture the light in their work.

Hello Izzet Bey,
Absolutely wonderful composition. The details and colors, the standing position with his head tilted and his concentration is well seen. Almost alive.
Best personal regards. Salvator.

merhaba izzet bey

Hello Dear Izzet,

The photograph immediately got my attention, the photographer's name became an issue of extra interest, and the flattering remarks represented the final catalyst. I would like to award this ten-green smileys (alas I am allowed only one). Delacroix (and that entire heroic movement from the early 19th century) have represented a favorite period of painting for me. You caught the artist contemplating his work, stepping back (and probably squinting), his feet planted to move back and forth... and he is a very good copyist. You have presented the artist, his work and his subject. This will be among my favorites for sure.

Sevgi ve selam,

Bülent

I appreciate all the challenges you must have faced when you shot this one. Do you still have the 18/2.8? The moment has surely called for it. Terrific composition, and most importantly, an outstanding artistic eye on your part. Regards,
Hakan

Hello Izzet,
Very interesting shot in difficult conditions (light, POV). Excellent result with good colours and good sharpness on the paintings. I like the expression of the painter.
Best regards,
Catherine
