Photographer’s Note

Just before full moon. I was staying at a guest farm (bad fontein) near Aliwal North in the Karoo. I was looking for a good place for long exposures, but after sunset... Tricky thing to do when you dont know the place. Anyway, settled for the sheep enclosure (Kraal in Afrikaans), set my 4x5 and focused using a torch (which is quite difficult). Anyway, pointed the camera south to have the spin effect, and left the opening on f/8 for 30mns. I knew some sheep will move, some other wont and this will give some kind of strange feeling. Hope you like it. One more thing: I used a wide angle lens (90mm) and there is light falloff around the edges (not vignetting, just a lens design thing).
film is provia 100
