One day I'd really like to go to Vanuatu for real, but at this point in time, this picture has to suffice. Flying from Nadi, Fiji to Honiara, Solomons, we had this 90-minute layover in Vila. The colors in the photo are *barely* saturated -- honestly, just barely. I liked the reflection, I like airplanes, and man but the South Pacific can be a rainy place. Also like the two flight attendants standing at the top of the stairs and I kind of wonder what they're talking about. Ah well.
I'm not sure why, but during the layover they made all passengers who were continuing on to Honiara de-plane and go back through security -- a little annoying in that this meant that they stole back the water many folks had rightfully purchased in the terminal in Nadi. Maybe the intent is to help sales in the Vila airport newsstand? |

Hi Brian,
Having a layover in Vanuatu. You know you are going off the beaten track by that sentence...
Well framed aircraft shot with dark clouds in the background. Good angle and I like the reflections in water puddles.
