Photographer’s Note
It was a heat wave in London and as I stepped towards this window one evening, I was suddenly struck by the light and lines of this scene. The darker reflection along the bottom is the reflection in a glass-topped stove. Everyday kitchen wares flank the stove, creating an almost altar-like effect, I thought. Who would have thought?? A window in London....

Quite successful. Glad I had the note to understand the reflecting surface. I agree with your comments - the everyday items here take on a different aura. Pleasing, gentle colours, and beautifully framed.

What an original and successful composition, Janet. The graphic shapes, the reflections, the light..everything seems to be in harmony. You reveal the same meticulous sense of detail you had shown us in your previous photograph. I like it very much.

Wonderful composition, Janet! It reminds me of some of constructivists, and the contrast of hot yellow with cold dark blue is great. I like the framing, also (and I rarely do:-)

This is nice, too. I like the out-of-focus background for this simple, well-framed subject.

Excellent cadrage qui donne la scène e parfaite valeur en plaçant un cadre a la photo avec les contours de la présentation.
Bravo pour ce bon coup d'oeil

Very, very good catch janet. Nice window opened on windows, nice repeated patterns which adds graphic impact too, nice reflection which turns it into an assymetrical framing. Excellent crop and perfect lighting and exposure. Well managed technical aspect and artisticaly delightful.

Hi Janet, You had me worried there for a moment - a heatwave in London, which day was it? - then I looked at the date and saw it was not this year! An interesting and surprisingly colourful picture. Doreen

A wonderful observation and very well executed shot.
Contrast of colours is very attracive and adds an extra dimention to the depth effect. Well done Janet!
