Photographer’s Note
I thought it was about time I posted something a little more 'gritty'!
This is a photograph I took in an abandoned factory near Elland Road in Leeds. The factory was a really interesting location filled with graffiti art, rusting machinery and other fascinating things in a general state of decay.
In this photograph I attempted to capture one of the many impressive pieces of graffiti art and positioned the camera to also capture the faces reflected in the muddy puddle.
I hope you like the result!

Hi Tom,
I like this because of the way you controlled the light and the general feel of decay in this part of the city. I am now doing a series on abandoned industry as well. It's so nice to wander around there, take photographs and later on search on the internet to find information on how it once was. Though not many people appreciate industrial heritage on TrekEarth ;-).
I like it!

I like the lightning conditions as well as the mirroring effects too. The picture creates an impression of standing in this place.
Very well done
Best regards

Hello Tom,the reflection of the graffiti in the puddle really brings this shot to life imo.It is not a beautiful scene but it is typical of so many parts of cities all over the world.Good observation.I agree with 'makis' that you feel as if you are standing there.
A good composition, well done.
Tfs, regards Jean.
