Photographer’s Note
This is from an area of Maine called Ogunquit. Many costal areas of Maine have very rocky areas. The day I was there the sky was very hazy, so I concentrated on close-up detailed shots like this.

Very nice! Beautiful range of colours and shapes and the diagonals are interesting. I just have no idea at what scale we are looking at. Is this picture covering a couple of square centimeters or square meters?

En imagette, cette photo ne fait pas grand effet ... mais en grand format, elle est géniale.
Les couleurs, le relief accentué par les ombres ... cela évoque une oeuvre d'Art, presque un tableau peint par un artiste contemporain.

Your picture is simply superb ! The two directional sets of fractures that form shale clivage make a really interesting pattern. Bad weather without rain is effectively the best meteo condition to capture rock pictures. Well seen !

I like the stone textures and the colors. Composition and framing are good. The contrast of the colors is excelent and the diagonals formed by the rocks give dinamism to the photo.
