Photographer’s Note

I wandered in to this crematorium, where I had been previously to listen to a music concert, with my camera. The day was hot and the afternoon light was streaming into the halls, giving a magic illumination to the architectural inspiration of Julia Morgan, the innovative female architect of the early 20th century in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is the first of postings from that visit.
In post-processing, used Unsharp Mask several times, saturated the color ever so slightly, and added a frame.

Interesting perspective Janet. The game of light and shadows is well seen and makes the success of the composition. The photograph seems a bit soft for me though. I would have sharpened it slightly. Perspective distorsion was well managed.

Great composition, I like the light and the good lines. The colours are not really important by this photo. Personal I had cropped it on the left side icm till the wooden post.very good job Janet. I like the work

Excellent perspective here, Janet! You capture the shadow of windows perfectly. The light is well used and creates a nice view. Personally, I think that the light is a vital element to your composition.

Very nice resulting effect of the lighting, the moment is well choosed, the perspective reinforces the light effect. Good play with verticals and horizontals too, the architecture is rendered without distortion, this also reinforces the graphic impact. A very fine catch Janet, well done and thanks for sharing.

This place looks too good for a crematorium, Janet. You created a very nice compositions of squares and other wonderful shapes. THe light and the colors are great. Very very well sen and captured.
