At the Festival Photo

Photographer’s Note

Photo taken at the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu hot air balloon Festival, unfortunately it was about 10 minutes before the launch and the weather was threatening, so after a delay of about 30 minutes they decided not to launch. At least the sky and the sun in the back, because it was not all cover, were offering something interesting for me. I went back to the site two days after and this time had more chance, I might post a picture soon.

Bonjour Pierre. Les couleurs extrêmement saturées (trop même) font un contraste saisissant avec le ciel gris. Ca a le mérite de diviser le cadre en trois tiers dans le sens vertical. Dommage que les ballons n'aient pas été lancés.

Un ciel bien sombre pour un décollage d'un ballon dirigeable (enfin, si l'on peut diriger un tel ballon) ; les barrières hautes en couleur rehaussent la composition. J'ai hâte, Pierre, de voir ce ballon dans les hautes sphères !

Well, given the adverse weather conditions, you still managed to come up with a reasonably bright color setting in this interesting scene, Pierre. The red/white fence contributes a good repetitive element that wanders through most of the frame. Good scene from the festival.

Pity that the weather wasn't that great; I would have loved to see the hot air balloon pictures. Nevertheless, despite the bad weather conditions you managed to still give us a nice picture of the event. I must agree with Galeota, the colours seem a bit too saturated, but it won't be easy to adjust that due to the dark sky. Thanks for sharing.

With a heavy sky you creat a special shot,and red in this atmosphere is very strong point,well done for this great composition,beautifully done,Pierre.I like it.
