Photographer’s Note

An image took from the restaurant on the beach where we go everytime that we have some days in Antibes.
It's on the Juan les Pins beach; i'm not a lover of this western district of Antibes, it's excatley all that i don't like about a vacation on the sea.
Pubs, bars, disco clubs, peolpe that go there just to watch other ones, to find a partner, to drink, to drunk...
Not my job, i prefer other type of location.

But, but...out of season also Juan les Pins have something of good. It have a long series of good restaurants on the beach, with the tables and the chairs in the sand, where also in April or November in a sunny day you can have a wonderful day without shoes on the beach, eating excellent Provençale dishes of seafood.

This image was took looking southwest, in the foreground there's a rocky pier where everyday there are some fishermen, and that time also a couple in love.
On the back there is on the middle right side a half part of the Ile de Lerin, a small flat island in front of Cannes, and then in the background the Esterelle Range silouhettes, located 40 kilometers south west Antibes.

The only problem about this wonderufl sunny days that we spent there with ur friends, eating moules is that the children, our children and also all the other ones...jump in the sea.
Seawater at 10°? no problem, they will jump in!
everytime!

Paolo the gourmet! You should take care of your kilos. Make diet, or sports of any kind, or go out for photographing.
Focal length of 122mm already is a proof of what you tell in the note. Tele is lazy bussiness :P
I love the result btw. Silhouettes, half silhouettes and slight dots of red on pale blue. Very nice...

Simpatica questa foto con boe e gavitelli in ordine sparso, e le persone, singole o in coppia, intente ad occupazioni diverse, il tutto in un'aria sorniona da sabato o domenica.
Vista di lunedi fà un po' male.

nice contrasted photo, the off centered framing is well done even if i wonder if it would be better with the entire silhouette of the BG mounts

I meet my wife in a fish restaurant in Greece (off season). Today, 12 years later and two kids I still like fish and...
Also like your image with silhouettes like in shadow puppet play.

Very romantic! The colour of the sea is like ink mixed with water. Not the best place for the lovers to be alone...I can also see a fourth person sitting there!

Paolo,
this is like two image combined into one. Take out the two lover, it would be a tranquil scene with a man waiting patiently for the fish. Or you can take out the man and it would be romantic setting for lovers in a beautiful setting by the sea. Very nice both way. I enjoyed it. Thanks.
