The Blue Caves are one of the favourite places to visit by boat. They are situated in the north of the Island. In thousands of years the sea has shaped these caves. If you snorkelling inside, you can see the rocks covered by a mauve-coloured kind of seaweed. The seaweed and the white sandy bottom of the caves together reflect the incoming sunlight in a very special blue hue. In the western part of Zakynthos, the caves are much larger than in the north.

Hi Geroge, good morning my today neighbour and a great welcome on TE, fantastic view with splendid light and colors, great composition, I likea lot, friendly, Silvio
Πολύ ωραίες καμάρες!
Hi George!
I have always been fascinated by these rock formations and the way they create gates on the water.
I like your photo's composition and colours. I think the moment when the boat appears in the opening is well chosen as the boat gives a term of dimesnioning for these cliffs.

Marius
Hi George
This is such a clear photo and the boats are more interesting as you can only see part of them. Good framing with the rock caves.
