[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
With big clouds looming over me in Sonoma County, I fought the relentless commuter traffic to get home, grab my gear and head out to Bodega Head which is a popular destination within Sonoma Coast State Beach. I had visions of big orange and red clouds as the sun set and flooded the sky with its last light. Well...that wasn't meant to be as the storm clouds off the coast shoved there way in and concealed the suns magic. What was I to do? Turn around and go home? Heck no, I walked around and found something that was almost as satisfying. Sometimes the color is right at your feet.

Mike,
That's the spirit - always photograph what's there, not what you imagined you thought you'd come for.
Good result.
Colin

Mike -

What, are you one of those tourists expecting to come here and get eternal sunshine? :-)

This is a very nice catch, with the subdued light playing on the subtle colors, with a good pattern of the waves in the background.
