Photographer’s Note

This serie of mountains are located in the Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve. The culminating summit is Beinn Eighe itself with 1010 m (3314 feet).

The long ridge where you can see my friends walking on it is very long. More than 1 hour of walk and we did not see the end.

This long ridge is one of the attractions of Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve. It offers several great views but unfortunately for us, the weather this day was not particularly good.

I like how the ridge runs from one cornr to the other. Lovely colors thanks to the wheather. The nature is a lot like in the mountains in my home county Jämtland.

This is a fine image Francis with the trail disappearing into the distance and two figures helping to give scale to the capture. The depth of field is fine, as are the colors and details. This is an excellent TE image. Thanks for sharing your work.

I think you've done a fantastic job of overcoming the weather problem here Francis. Usually I just give up when it gets overcast in the UK but your photo is proof that you can still get a good shot. I like the human element here and the snow (?) looks incredible. It looks like they're walking to the ends of the Earth. A carefully considered, commendable photo!

It's a nice picture. Sharp details in the foreground. Good perspective and even the cloudy background has an astonishing sharpness or supstance.

But the day still afforded a very impressive photograph. I really like the feel of this ridge here. It does come across as never ending. Even that rise at the end here seems to suggest something beyond. The trail winds nicely and is nicely visible throughout and the people on it give an excellent scale. I also like the colors here. Of the grass, rocks and sky and people. Very nice sight and nice and sharp and clear. Great job, Francis.

Belle composition en montagne ce qui nous change un peu des eaux crystallines estivales :D
Il ne faut pas avoir le vertige sur ce type de chemin.
J'aime bien la brume dans la vallée.

Long walk on a cold day… and it does give the message of and endless trail. Well, at least you had great view. Good composition with the diagonal trail and interesting color of the sky.

Looking at this I just want to be magically transported there so that I can join those trekkers on their walk in this most awesome landscape. This shot also reminds me of those aerial shots in the movie Braveheart with Mel Gibson trudging on those high ridges. Thanks for sharing this Francis.

Maybe it was a long walk but it look great. contrast between the snow and dark clouds around is nice and people on the picture are helping to have the right scale. amazing picture.

The weather might not have been cooperating for scenic vistas, but it makes this image look great. We have some similar ridges where I live; I hope to climb them before winter! The point of view really works here to imply the never-ending ridge. Looks like a very fun hike!

Very beautiful composition with this way which guides our eye towards a strong point of image. The man in red is another strong point on the picture. I like very much colors ans sharpness.
