Dear Mark,
This is a lovely shot, but I find the dark foreground distracting and does not add anything to the picture. You can try cutting out most of it and making a different layout. I am posting a WS. I think this shot has much merit otherwise. Thank you for sharing.

a good start and a beautiful nature you show us in this wide view.I agree with NB(naznaz567) about the triangle of bottom,could be cropped and then you will have a panorama format.also it needs a bit sharpness more ( via USM in photo shop),but overal a good work.well composed and I like your first.Thanks for posting it.

Hi Mark...
I disagree with both M and NBM on their suggestions for cropping out the dark area in the lower right quadrant. It is that very feature of the image that gives it its dynamic! Turning it into a panorama, as in NBM's WS, eliminates your POV - that of a person standing on the foreshore and taking in the beauty of the scene.
A very good image - well done!
