Wow… Claire, cette photo est superbe!!! C’est le type de couleurs et d’image que j’aime beaucoup. C’est vivant, estetique, tres special… Floue et clarite melange avec parfaite proportions. C’est interessant, parce qu’en depit de la grande annonce du Festivale de Jazz et les musician present a l’arriere plan, quand je la regarde, pour moi c’est comme si tu as capture un moment muet, un soupcon de silence… Une photographie a l’interieure d’une photographie… Amusant et captivant cette image… Felicitations! Dans mes favoris!

Bonsoir Claire, ce qui me plait le plus ici c est l appareil photos a gauche.....et cette tete violette tres nette, de belles couleurs qui changent de la neige et de l hiver qui n en finit pas chez toi, bonne soiree

Une vision de ce festival de jazz très personnelle et d'une grande originalité avec ce photographe photographié. Ces couleurs sont absolument magnifiques et créent à elles seules cette atmosphère si particulière. Je suis fasciné par ton talent d'artiste et ta technique photographique exceptionnelle. De l'art, tout simplement!

A movie scene no doubt,very fresh...modern Incredible colors

Bonjour chere et lointaine cousine,
Quand je lis ta note je me dis qu'il y a qqch de pourri dans la mondialisation de notre societe... ici nous guettons encore desesperement les flocons :-( L'image est interessante pour l'isolation de ce detail mais aussi pour ce bleu qui rayonne et enveloppe meme l'ete Quebecois de froid !

je vois que tu n'étais pas seule a faire des photos, ah une photo en couleur la période N&B serai-t-elle fini, dommage j'aimais les ambiances de ces photos, ambiance toute en douceur avec le bleu, bon choix du cadrage sur le petit chaperon rouge avec des rayures

Hi Claire,

I was just going over your workshops and I do really like the different version with only the one silouette. This main posting is interesting as well, but the blue tones being the main colour here make it a bit cold. The workshop is just a bit more attractive to me.
Nice note and good collection of photographs all together making a very nice posting!

Others take on reality more tenderly and a photograph to them is an exhibition of their love and revelation, and they impose that image stronger than those with brutal force of their lenses shoved into people’s faces.
And that’s you…

What an outstanding photo, Claire, I admire your choice of focus and the way you worked this photo in post-processing.

I really love this - it is so original, so dreamy, moody, so beautiful as an abstract (the colors, the blurs) and yet it has a full real story there, so easy to read.

Belle harmonie de couleurs, séparation avant-plan vs arrière-plan impeccable - on ne fait pas mieux en studio ;o) - alors pourquoi me suis-je senti obligé de la workshopper? Pour offrir une autre vision, en espérant que le temps qui a passé depuis la prise de vue te permet un détachement vis-à-vis cette... enfant!

Olá Claire, I have to say that this still feels like freezing to me. I think it's because of the blue tones of the stage. It looks like a huge fridge. Maybe the show was just starting...In the WSs it's a diferent story: the warm colors are saying that it was very hot and the stage seems on fire. In 'time to socialize' the public is already participating. The 'diferent vision' is my favorite version although I agree that the story that this foreground tells is a delicious one. She must be photographing the child (her child?) because the camera isn't pointing to the stage.

Un coffre à trésors ce disque dur...
Tu as un art très particulier pour donner des ambiances magnifiques...les tons bleutés, cette touche aubergine du foulard, le détail de l'appareil photo qui dépasse de la foule, détail qui est un clin d'oeil de grande importance dans la construction de l'image, à mes yeux, et un très bel hommage à la photographie. L'enseigne Jazz et les musiciens...J'aime tout simplement.
Les deux WS valent un post aussi, de nouveau superbe travail sur les couleurs, les floutés, ma préfence allant au no.1...
Modernité, vision artistique, touche très personnelle, et quelque chose du domaine de l'onirique. Du grand art Claire.

Don't know why some person so urgently have to see music ;))). But of course the urge to see colours is reasonable. To see colours mixed with some music... Yes that is the best solution I think. And only children know it and are able to execute.
Love this photo. The photo about taking photo of stripped red hat seen from the rear. And the photo about music being worth of seeing :))). Great.

At least it works like that for me.
What attracts me more to your photo is that I have slightly the idea that I can imagine how you felt when you made the photo.
Dear Clairy I hope the winter will finish soon and the nice sunny days will be back again and if not you can come in Greece, we have a lot.

Hi Claire, I'm back to TE (well, at least occasionally) after being away a while. I like the vivid vibrant colors here! Everything that's not blue stands out well against the blueness--the red hat, the musicians in golden light. And that camera poking up--that definitely makes this a true photographer's picture. It really gives the feel that I am there, my view partly blocked but not enough to matter. Nice! Definitely one that makes me happy to be back. Regards, Ken.
