Hello Roberto,

I have been meaning to critique this photo for a while now, so thanks for prompting me. It is a wonderful thing to know that there may be bears in this area living lives in nature and not behind bars. I would guess that both Grizzly and Black Bears would be found in this region? It would be rather frightening to know that Yogi could be behind the next tree if you were hiking in the area; but I suppose stepping on one of the venomous snakes here is similarly confronting. All places have their dangerous animals, but in the case of a wild bear I think I would be cautiously delighted to see one. The photo is beautiful, yes the mountains are not as large as other parts of the district but that does not mean the place is less significant - the beauty here lies in the foliage. I like the combination of sky/snow/forest and the selective lighting arrangement. Congratulations!

Hi Roberto,
Wonderful alpine landscape with the evergreens in the foreground seen in great detail as well as the clouds over the distant mountains. The colors are vibrantly clear and contrast beautifully. It does look like a place where you might find some portly bears knocking around.

I really like the feeling of balance and drama in this composition with the sunny FG diagonal laid against the layers of hills with their curves enhanced by the mixture of sunlight and shaodows. That showy sky with the cloud tiled in a contrasting diagonal is almost like a yin/yang symbol with the FG.

Sounds like you've found a new group to share you enjoment of the outdoors. I love your latest picture of Maddy, it looks like she is more fun every day.
