Photographer’s Note

fog covering Parang Mountains in a beautiful winter morning. While the city below(Petrosani) was covered by clouds, at 1700 m the sun was shining brightly. Abeautiful place to go skying or just take long walks.

Hello Ioana,
first, let me wish you a late welcome here on TE. Another from the Romanian group! Cool!:D You guys have such a beautiful country, it's good that people like you are there to show it to us.
The landscape is beautiful. Like you, I live in a country with a long winter. But until recently, I never really went trekking in the mountains during winter. But this winter I decided to go out and I must say I'm astonished at how beautiful winter can be in the mountains. Your picture confirms it all! I like the early morning feeling you get with the fog. The layers are very strong in the composition.

Too bad we see the road bottom right. It looks just a bit less "wild" :D But at the same time, the dark trees lining the road add a strong contrast to the composition.

Une esthétique succession de plans avec ces reliefs en partie embrumés. Il manque juste peut-être un peu de netteté

I like the fog in your picture.
It go in lanes , certainly in relation with the winds or the altitude.
I appreciate the passage from the reality to the dream of the fogs..

Ioana what an amazing sight you had in front of your eyes. And what a beautiful capture. I love it. I would try maybe to avoid putting the street in the frame but still it is a beauty.

I love this kind of photos, with several layers, different tones and shadows on mountain chains - this photo would be much better if you could take it at dawn and with aperture (f-number) greater that f=10. But anyway I like this photo.

An excellent shot. I like the layers of light fog that drift through the valleys. The vertical framing is a good choice.
