This is a beautiful shot, Robert. I love the tones, the layering of the waves, and the placement of the figures. To me, though, the thick black frame is a bit heavy for such a delicate shot. Just my opinion.

Lovely graphic effect created by the lines of the waves, Robert. I also very much like the light reflecting off the wet sand. The people are well placed and great for providing scale and a human dimension to this beautiful seascape. Very well done.

A bit too heavy? You could dispose of your frame and I'm pretty sure your shot will be much more able to breathe the exhilarating sense of wonder you feel when witnessing the tue fascination of nature... ;-)
Layerings, shades of blue, remoteness, sensibility in a wide world around us... Everything seems to have been written down before. So, keep on looking, Robert...

at first i thought those waves were sheets of ice! it looks so powerful but gentle at the same time. good job! ... btw, how high up did you have to be to take that pic?? ...those people look too far and lower down for the pic to be taken at ground level. (then again i could be wrong!) :)

What a great shot, Robert. The variations of blue, and the texture, graininess visible in the waves is gorgeous. Beautifully done - no suggestions for improvement, it's great as it is. The curve of the waves, with the two figures in the top left..... it merits a place in my favorites.

One of the best you've posted to date in my opinion. Monochrome, with an end of the afternoon light pouring on the water and giving beautiful reflections allover. The curves made at the shoreline lead our eye gently to the people on the top left. This is very well balanced and aesthetically (to my taste at least), a success.

Nw, if this was the view you were having while eating your lobster, I'm starting to get really jealous...

A dramatic, powerful and beautiful shot. But I would like to know how much and exactly what technical "adjustments" were made to giveus these wonderful colours. Or are theu "au naturel"?

The shades of blue are absolutely amazing. The composition is great, very well thought out.
The patterns and shapes of the water is beautiful and the two persons are placed perfect in the picture.

Lovely capture.
The layers of waves creates a nice pattern to the whole composition. I really like how the water dominates the whole photo, and to see the silhouettes of the people in such a small scale puts everything into perspective.

Robert, you have great work going on in your gallery ... glad I put on my PC this Saturday morning! This is outstanding, hard to place it in words not to sound stupid. I like the icy blue of the whole scene, the two lost people standing there, enjoying the rest of the day maybe, but also the layers of waves moving towards the beach ... just all so wonderful. I am glad to push this one to "100" ... more than deserved! Barbara.

Bonjour Robert,
et bien voici une photo qui ne ressemble à aucune autre sur le site, de par sa composition même, le sujet, les couleurs sur les bleus.
J'admire le graphisme en vagues, on peut le dire, couches successives semblant recouvrir la précédente.
Les personnages bien cadrés, donnent toutes les dimensions de la scène.
