Photographer’s Note
A beautiful altocumulus, or Makerel Sky in Brightlingsea over the Creek. It's interesting because it looks as though it is eminating from Bateman's Tower in the distance.
I have a similar portrait colour version but wanted to explore the landscape in black and white.
Thanks for looking,
TW

Hi Tim,
this looks really interesting.
I'm almost a bit dizzy from staring at those nice clouds.
I think the picture works fine in black and white.
The wide-angle definitely is very effective here.
cheers,
Laura

Hello Tim,
a truly beautiful shot to look at with the dramatic sky and its incredible pattern adding something special to the compo. The lonely tower and the village look sorrounded by a great feeling of mystery and thanks to the b&w this works really well!
Thanks for sharing it.

What a sky you caught there, Tim. Bl/w is a good choice, though I am curious to see the colour shot too. Any chance of uploading that one a as a WS? Cheers and thanks for the post.

Salut Tim..
Sacré nuage.... Hachuré jusqu'à l'infini...
Le noir et blanc rend très bien.. De plus, la petite tour complète le paysage..

Hi Tim
I think this is a fantastically simple but dramatic shot which works extremely well in monochrome.
Another great one well done.

Hi Tim,
Excellent effect of those clouds taking more than the 2 third of the pic. that's a well seen framing...through wich drama and loneliness are conveyed...
well done
Pris.

Nice compo dominated by this amazing sky. I think I would have preferred the same shot in color, but it's just a matter of taste. Regards, Yvonne

Dramatic skyline. I like the way you covered the sky in most of the frame. Looks like a HD picture
