Photographer’s Note

Still on the colorful waterfront of Camogli, Western Liguria, during the past week end, when it was spring there and winter in Milan.

But yesterday something changed also in Milan.
Not more winter, not more spring...we jumped directly in the summer season.

As some millions of other people of Great Milan, we spent our w.e. in a park of the city, with 30° under the sun, no clouds, warm Pheon wind and a deep blue sky.
Bermuda pant and t-shirt.
People in the lake with kayaks and canoes, children playin football, moms under the sun and father sleeping under the trees.

This summer in the beginning of March will end this evening, when it will come a wonderful wind from North Pole and Siberia, with snow on the hills of the northern part of Metro Area and the Lakes District and 2° in a rainy Milan city.

When i was child i remember that we have a book about the months and the weather of each one.
November it was full of rain, April it was the crazy one with rain, wind and cold, from June to September it was summer, warm, humidity and sun with mayb some thunderstorm, December, January and February it was deep winter with snow, ice and cold...
That's was the weather 30 years ago.
Winter was cold, Summer warm, a fresh and maybe rainy Spring...now it's a bit hard for my 2 children to understand the season...
Two week ago the dad was skiing on the Alps and the children was playing in a 1 meter and a half of snow, with less than 5° under the zero...one week ago there was guys swimming in the sea in Camogli and the children spent the day playing on the beach...then 5 days of deep humid winter in Milan, and a finally a Sunday pretty naked on the shore of a lake in Milan running under a warm sun as in June!

and tomorrow morning maybe a bit of snow....

"What's happened Dad?!"
