Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in the career of Saint Leu d’Esserent.
Historically, complex career of Saint Leu d’Esserent had been established for the exploitation of limestone, but the Germans were rapidly overcome during the Second World War to make their largest assembly facility and storage of V1. This site became logically a preferred target for the Allies. Starting in spring 1944, the intensity of these bombing, allowed the allies to finish the German occupation of this region.
A portion of the career was later used as a mushroom.

The visit of a career groundwater was a first for me and allowed me to try light painting.

J'aimes bien le mélange des rendus orangé et verdatres qui donne un bonne ambiance.

Je te l'ai déjà dit mais à mes yeux la principale qualité de cette photo est d'exister !!! Je m'expliques: tu as réussi à surmonter tes craintes (pour ne pas dire plus) pour arriver à déclencher la prise de vue... Clairement cette carrière n'est pas la plus interessante photographiquement parlant mais si n'avais pas réussi cette photo, cela ne t'aurais pas motivé pour retourner sous terre.

J'ai regardé avec beaucoup d'intérêt votre album. Manifestement la photo n'est pas une chose nouvelle pour vous ! Vous avez un oeil très observateur et un don pour valoriser ce qui nous entoure. Les compositions sont toujours réalisées avec un grand soin.
