Photographer’s Note
We spent our week-end days in Liguria, close to Camogli, that wonderufl village on the Eastern Coast, at not more than 20 kilometers from Genova.
This is a vertical stitch of 2 image, one with the sky and the top of the buildings, the other one with the lower half part of the waterfront and the sea.
It's the only way to have a complete view.
Buildings were tilted to the center of the image on the both sides, but i like that fisheye effect!
It was a wonderful week-end, a classical one of Liguria.
Sun, 20° and more than 30° under the sun, some people was swimming in the cold water, excellent food and our brain setted on the "relax mood"!
In the late afternoon we back to Milan, under a wonderful sun, just to the other side of the Ligurian Alps that divided the Mediterranean Coast from the "flat land" of Lombardy and Piedmont.
On the other side of the Pass...there was a world under the fog.
less than 7-8°, 90% of humidity, cold.
and fog...deep fog, that one that us, in Milan, call: the fog that you can cut with a knife...
The same weather also this morning in Milan.
Fog, humidity, cold: winter.
90 kilometers south....sun, warm and deep blu sky...
We were born on the wrong side of the Ligurian Alps....?!

Bonjour Paolo

buona giornata,
Fabio.

Ciao Paolo,
A very fresh one this one, and it tells also a lot about the current unusual warmth, the sunlight on these southern facades is irresistible. You might have tried a stitch od several vertical views to include the left church. Looks like a june pic argggghhhhh !
Black saturday for latin rugby fans, eh ???
Have a nice day JY

Hello - I cannot help but be a little bit twee and say that I would prefer this shot without the distortion and perhaps in a panoramic?? :) Rgds, Leilani

Buona settimana

Ciao Paolo,
I myself tried few compositions with stitching process. I really like this stuff. Nothing better than that when you don't have any wide angle lens. Your capture is really attractive and well presented. I like the inclusion of the relfection and the blue sky. That orange building is an eye catcher. Well done!

Carlos

hehehe!
funny result with vertical stitching. yes it is sometimes impossible to get the whole vision, i had the same problem with stephansdom in vienna, and its elegant spire looked like a giant with a huge belly, after stitching of 4 photos, LOL. interesting POV btw. taken from a boat?
ciao,

Ciao Paolo
I like the distortion created by the lens and the feeling the buildings want to squizz themselves in the capture, too. The colors are vivid and bright and the reflection on the water superb

It's for sure a blessing paolo seeing the people enjoying the sun in February. (Quite a contrast to my mountain place still with snow dept 120cm all around.)
Well done capture in a tight crop and setting.

Ciao Paulo,
The rendering of the vertical lines is strange and put a surprizing effect to the picture.
Whatever, if it was the only way to capture this photo we will deal with it.
It allows me to discover a little the Liguria coast which seems to be really interesting with those village just on the sea.
Yves.
