Photographer’s Note

Berat is a really beautiful town in Albania: the ancient town is born in the middle of mountains, next to a river, and on the top of a hill there is the 'cittadella', with medieval walls, many bizantine chuches and a mosque in ruin. The inner space of most of the curches are full of pictures. Few people and no turist: here you have the sensation of discovering again the world, how it should be one century ago

Ciao Donatella. I know the feeling you are describing- it happened long ago when I was in Macedonia in winter, probably the only tourist there. Excellent PoV and lovely details.The photo will probably not be admired because it has no BLUE sky. As if the skies are always blue! Regards. Klaudio.

hi Donatella, excellent old church. shame for the sky, litlle more blue could make this shot even better. But like Klaudio sad sky is not our domene.

Your composition is great using the steps to lead the eye into the photo. The slope of the hill provides a nice diagonal through the shot. To bad the weather did not cooperate for you but you still managed to create a nice photo.
