Photographer’s Note
Photo of Zhaoxing main (and unique road) in the early morning. Even if Zhaoxing is a relatively small village, this was one of the rare moments of calm when the street was empty.
On the mats on the pavement, you can see rice that is left to dry under the sun.

Hi Warren,
This is an interesting photo of the daily life in rural China. The morning fog still there casts a shadow on the old wooden houses (would be interesting to see the colors with sunlight) but gives a ery peaceful atmosphere.
Looking at the temple and the houses I think the photo is tilted quite a bit to the right, something to be aware of next time.
Thanks for sharing,
Harko

Hello Warren,
There are so many wonderful details in this street scene. I love the architecture of the wooden houses, and the pagoda-style structure on the right. It is interesting to see the mats laid out, and the people moving about, all engaged in some different activities. The fog in the background also adds a nice, calm mood to the scene.

Bonjour Warren,
Intéressante scène de rue matinale.Tout à l'air si calme.Je t'envoi une WS où j'ai corrigé un peu la perspective.
Amicalement.

Hi Warren
What a marvellous souvenir. Zhaoxing was a real great moment in our travel. We stayed over there several days nearly at the same moment as you but one year before. (September 2006). Was the rice in the middle of the street ?
Your picture is quite good and show very well this wonderful rural village. The morning light is nice, framing and sharpness too
Well done

Hi Warren. A place that I regret having missed on a recent visit to Guizhou, but unfortunately there is never enough time to get to all the places you want. A nice early morning capture of this village. Chris
