Photographer’s Note

I have always admired this mosque, Its one of the most beautiful landmarks in Sharjah city. The mosque is on the lake side giving it a very clam and relaxing environment. Its Designed to show its greatness, the white color design makes it feel similar to a clay model designed to be looked at and not touched!
This mosque will be added to my gallery proudly, hope people will enjoy it as much as I do.

I'm glad you still have fond memories of Malaysia.

This is one beautiful architecture painted very tastefully in pastel pleasing colors. You have captured this in superb sharpness with well managed light and shadow. I would love to see the bigger perspective with the lake nearby. Good details and stunning against that spotless blue sky.

Salam Ramy,
It is indeed a beautiful building, grandiose and elegant at the same time, like only some temples, most specially mosques, can be. The POV was well chosen and you did a reasonable job managing the difficult light situation. However, it's a bit pity that the shadows and the sky present some noise and there is a bit of OE on the sun shined walls and roofs.
In my ignorance of Islamic architecture, I associate this architecture style more with Turkey than with Arabia.
PS: Congratulations for the Asia cup! :-)

Hello Ramy,
It is always interesting to view the different styles of architecture throughout the world. Great engineering and artistic marvels shaped by geography and culture. This is excellent composition and nice use of sidelighting to enhance the form of the mosque. One trait that I have found to be consistent with mosques is their light and airy, otherworldly feeling and their wonderful sense of elegance and simplicity. Elegance is the one word that comes to my mind when I have seen other Trek Earth photos of the great mosques of the world. A wonderful photograph and thanks for sharing this architectural masterpiece with us!
