Photographer’s Note
We are looking at the south from the special observatory at 250m of Tokyo Tower, offers a 360-degree view of Tokyo. The famous starfish on also TE, Rainbow Bridge on upper left, and upper of it the lights of several planes of the landing waiting to Tokyo International Airport.
Taken hand-held pushing the front of the lens to the pane, selected the slow shutter speed to make some small flows of the lights of the cars. I intend to use tripod next time because here is not prohibition of tripod use.
By the way Tokyo Tower weighs about 4,000 tons. It is much lighter than the Eiffel Tower, which weighs 7,300 tons.

hello Hisashi :)
starfish it is, the shape and the colour fits perfectly. I like a lot how you have composed the photo, the lights of the cars nicely lead the eye through the shot. and I'm very impressed with the quality - for a handheld shot at 1/2 seconds the sharpness is amazing. excellent work, my compliments.

beautiful shot. I took a similar shot from 150m observatory deck of Tokyo Tower. But I must admit your picture is much more beautiful than mine. Perhaps due to the additional extra 100m altitude you have got a much better perspective.

Hello Hisashi,
Good title, because it is exactly what I was thinking looking to the photo: the shape and the color are the ones of a starfish.
I am impressed you succeeded to get this photo with no tripod: the sharpness is good on this post.
Very good management of the exposure and photo taken exactly at the right time to get an good mixing between the light of the city and the ones of the sky.

Hisashi-san konbanwa,
Wow what a nice effect you got here, having these avenues with the red traffic dominant build such a starfish structure is just visually excellent, it's interesting to note the dominant remains red regardless of traffic direction, and you needed the right eye top spot and use this to give that something extra to your dusk picture. Given the distance to your focus point you're not even too penalized by the wide aperture you had to use, at least at TE size. I like your latest night shots a lot and this one is no exception.
Have a nice evening JY

Hello Hisashi! Amazing what amount of traffic moves through these streets and I am a little glad that we are "standing" beside you watching this spectacle from a safe distance. I can see the airplanes landing, there is movement everywhere, wherever you look there is no rest. Fantastic work and the starfish is the winner part in this photo, something I have never seen before. I am impressed. Barbara.

ひさしさんは最近夜のシーンにはまってるようですね。これもまた見事の写真です、特にその変わってる色の空と明るい道。窓に直接レンズを押さえるとこんなにきれいに夜景を撮れるのね、初めて知りました。ジャック

Hello Hisashi,
starfish was the word it came to my mind when I saw the thumbnail, only then I noticed it was in your title to. Great composition and I love the colour of the sky in the background repeating the starfish colour.
Bravo

Hello Hisashi,
I like your title, the orange light of the street really look like the starfish color...more red and it could be see as blood in veins...in the heart of the city.
A longer exposure will enhance the"river of light" effect...
thanks,

Hello Hisashi,
Kawaii desu yo! :-) This is a wonderful view of Tokyo, and very artistic, with the giant starfish in the middle. The exposure is perfect, and we can see the beautiful city lights and also the pastel colors of the sky. It is amazing that the traffic created such a great red pattern.

Hi Hisashi,
I think your the best to shoot the cityscape of your hometown... What a spectacular image!!!
I really like the red trails from the traffic going through the buildings. Your title is so well chosen! Very clever... The gradient in the sky is stunning and mix perfectly with the city lights. Very sharp and detailed photo. Goes straight to my favorites!
Have a nice weekend!

Nice one Hisashi!
I believe i have the exact same angle stored on my harddrive somewhere:)
Only your picture appears to have been taken earlier in the day, and also have better colors than mine.
And good luck with the tripod, i remember that i couldn't find a real good place to place it, partly due to the many people pressed up against the glass, but also because you can't get near enough to the window, so the reflections of the light inside was ruining the picture, so i placed the tripod on the handrail bar, and then pressed the lens up against the windows to avoid the reflections.
Very good shot, looking forward to see the next result.

This is one of the best Tokyo shots I've seen. The starfish is so beautifully captured here. The sunset colors seem to match. By pushing the lens against the glass you were able to get a shot with out any glare and very sharp too. Nice work.

Hello Hisashi,
This is the best photo I've seen from Tokyo so far! Here's everything together that I like so much in a photo: lights of a big city, around the blue hour, high perpective, creative composition and all these things in fantastic quality!
I've been to Tokyo in 2004, and although I spent only one and two half days here, it really impressed me that I decided to come back as soon as possible! ((:
TFS, this is one of my favourites!!
Best wishes,
