| This is a picture of the atrium at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. The roof is glass and steel, giving visitors the feeling of being outside without being at the mercy of the elements. The building is very old, dating from the Presidency of Abraham Lincoln, but the atrium is only a couple of years old. |
