Photographer’s Note
As in a paint, as other thousand paints that people from the whole world took in the past centuries from Tellaro and Fiascherino, the 2 tiny villages west of Lerici, with that fantastic view of Portovenere with the sunset on the back, on the other side of the Golfo dei Poeti, in the western Liguria.
Nothing more to add...just that it was tool with a small compact camera and with the lens at maximum digital zoom X11, and so it lost a bit of quality.
Not the wonderful colours of ligurian sunsets and sea.

What a wonderful pink sky, nice colourfull my friend.
Also the V form with the dark silhouettes of the landscape give a great contrast.
indeed the foreground show a little bit noise through the zoom of the compact camera.

splendide nuances di colori digradanti e favolosa vista su questa baia al tramonto. Le rocce viste in silhouette aggiungono un tocco di mistero. Molto belli anche i contrasti con il blu del mare.

C'est vrai que cette composition s'apparente davantage à une peinture, et ma foi, je trouve cette réalisation très réussie.
Les couleurs sont parfaitement rendues, cela devrait inspirer des peintres qui existent sur le site.

I think the colours are very attractive, but in fact as you said the quality is not the best.
however the sunset looks great and I love this place as well so I imagine being there again with this shot
