| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken at the highest point of a small mountain resort called Les Pléiades. I decided to hike up to this field on a very clear day to photograph the surrounding mountains. There is an open field with a few monuments. For some reason a large wooden cross sits just at the center of the field.
I noticed this young woman sitting under the cross with her head bowed. She was there when I arrived and stayed there in that position for quite some time; she was still there when I left. I could not tell if she was praying or reading or just thinking.
I was struck by the scene (the huge cross, the bowed woman and the vast snow-covered peaks in the distance). I did not want to disturb her by approaching her so I took this shot from some distance behind her. |

I can feel your emotions pal, at the time of the shoot, though not technically a very classy shot but it is worth seeing & a good thematic image...
