[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Around Kathmandu's Bauddha Nath Stupa there are numerous Tibetan shops. In one while looking for a mandella there was a Tibetan monk reciting scripture and chanting.... I tried to capture this moment in natural light..

Good try. It is very difficult to capture a photo in low light and at f4.5. Try maybe to see if the photo improves by cutting out the distracting light to the side.

Hello Peter,

This is a very good portrait of the monk. You are a talented photographer, and many of your photographs are undervalued! If you use photoshop, I would recommend posting them with somewhat "reduced quality," e.g. 8 on a scale of 12. That drop in quality will be discernible. Take a look at my gallery to see how you can post an 800x800 pixel image; in saving, you might want to "save for web." Also, I would not imprint your name on the image, but perhaps on a frame. But no one on TE that I know of would steal an image. I've frequently exchanged high-resolution images with friends, and even referred them to my publisher, the National Geographic.

Warm regards,

Bulent
