Photographer’s Note

Isle of Skye - one of the northern-west scottish Isles, very unique and magical place, in some places it looks like it has never changed since the volcanic eruptions and dinosaurs era or You are on other planet. This is one of those places, 'Old Man of Storr' with unique rock pinnacles, remains of ancient volcanic plugs and Sound of Raasay beyond. Very famous and beautiful spot highly recommended to visit if You visit Skye. It is easily accesible, the path starts just off the road A855, You can get there by car or by Bus going from Portree to Uig. It requires some time and effort to get there but it is not all that difficult and the views are just outstanding and worth every effort! This photo may give You wrong impression of spring or summer day but it was actually February. Quite amazing, there was no snow at all and it was so warm that I was wearing a t-shirt! I used 6 vertical shots, each with two different exposures (one to not overburn the sky and the other to keep details in the shadow areas) all blended and merged together to create this panoramic view.
