Photographer’s Note
Undoubtedly one of my favourite photos from the recent trip to Pakistan. The 'National Monument' built atop a hill in shakar-parian which overlooks the Islamabad City signifies the four provinces and three territories that make up Pakistan.
The blooming flower stands for the progressing country that Pakistan is. In present turbulent times the Monument surely gives the Pakistani people something to cherish about themselves. The inside of the petals have carved on them, the story of the journey of the creation of Pakistan.
The small black marble structure in the center is a Star and encircling it is the Cresent from the Pakistani flag. The Cresent and the Star nicely finish off the architectural marvel of the Monument.
The spectre of it, is certainly one that is heart-warming. Another view is Here

Hi Kamran,
This is an impressive and perfectly positioned view to this modern object, allowing us to see it more as a work of art, and less as building structure. I only have some doubts about vertical placement of the monument here, as I believe the composition would work better with less pavement in the foreground and more of the sky above it.

Kamran,
a verynice blue hour capture of this pakistani monument. Good inclusion of the people at the left giving some additional action and reference to the size of the building. In such shots were symmetry is a vital element it is also quite important to be precise in the balancing the horizon. I see a slight tilt to the right that either needs a good adjusted tripod or later a correction with PP.

Hi Kamran,
this is excellent capture of most interesting motive. I love this structure and the tension between sharpened tops (flower) and the inner star pointing towards sky. Marvelous forms most beautifully illuminated and square lights in the ground leading to them. Great POV to show all this in excellent composed capture.
Kind regards,
Jeri

Hi Kamran!
Very beautiful shot!I guess it's first time I'm seeing and reading about this monument. Good idea to show another pov also.
The exposure is very good and it's also good to see the two persons there - the monument seems huge that way. Good composition, and colours.
